I love perfume. It makes me smile and I feel incomplete if I haven’t sprayed a spritz of something on. Scents remind me of specific times or situations that I’ve found myself in. Also, am I the only person who matches the perfume bottle to the outfit I’m wearing for the day? My mom thinks that’s weird.
I don’t have an incredibly extensive collection of perfumes, because there is no way I’ll finish everything if I have too much and I don’t use the same perfume every single day, but I digress. Let’s get started!
Puma Animagical – 40ml
This is one of my every day perfumes. I’m not a sporty, athletic girl at all and that’s what I associate with Puma as a brand. I smelt the perfume in a shop when the perfume counter girl was unpacking a box of these and I loved it. I was quite surprised to learn that Puma fragrances are actually quite amazing and affordable. Thumbs up for this floral fruity wonder, Puma!
Top notes: Grapefruit and lime
Middle notes: Water lily, freesia and papaya
Base notes: Wood and chocolate
The Body Shop’s Dreams Unlimited – 50ml
I’ve gone through several of these droplet shaped bottles. The smell is incredibly fresh. The Body Shop’s perfumes are also really affordable and heavenly, but this one is my personal favourite.
Top notes: Orange and black current
Middle notes: Iris, green pepper and red chilly pepper
Base note: Virginia cedar
DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom – 30ml and 50ml
I have two bottles of this particular fragrance. One I got two years ago for Valentine’s Day and the larger bottle I got from my best friend who’s currently living and working in South Korea.
This perfume embodies spring. It reminds me of a crisp spring morning with cute fluffy clouds in the sky, dewy green grass and flowers just starting to bloom. The trademark apple shaped bottle is light pink and just plain adorable.
Top notes: Citrus, black current and apricot
Middle notes: Lily of the valley, rose and jasmine
Base notes: Wood and red apple
Versace Versace – 30ml
This was my first bottle of perfume and I LOVE this. I’ve had it for almost six years now and I use it so sparingly that I still have half a bottle left, which is really surprising since it’s a 30ml bottle.
The packaging is just gorgeous. It gives a very high end, luxurious feel.
Top notes: Guava, black current, wisteria and lilac
Middle notes: Orchid, jasmine and lotus
Base notes: Bourbon vetiver, musk, Atlas cedar and cashmere wood
Versace Versus – 100ml
Funny story surrounding this perfume. I won this in a competition run in a magazine! The magazine did not even let me know that I won the lucky draw. I went to the post office one day and found a little note in the PO box that a package arrived and voila! A box with the perfume inside was waiting for me. I was stoked!!!
I really like the packaging, because it’s different from the other bottles of perfume I have. It’s a rich purple and gold. It also smells different to the other perfumes.
Top notes: Amalfi lemon, kumquat and star apple
Middle notes: African orange flower, rosewater, Stephanotis
Base notes: Musk, patchouli and ambrette
Gucci Envy Me – 50ml
I got this perfume for my birthday a couple of years ago. I’m also very careful with this perfume, because apparently it has been discontinued which makes me terribly sad. Of all my perfume, I would say that you need to love this scent if you want to wear it, because if it ain’t your thang you will get told that it smells like toilet spray by morons who don’t appreciate the scent the way you do. I speak from experience here. And yes, some idiot did tell me that my perfume smells like toilet spray, but that didn’t stop me from wearing it, lol! 😀
The packaging is a bit unusual since the bottle is tall, square and thin, but I love the pink G pattern all over it.
Top notes: Peony, rose, jasmine, black current and pink pepper
Middle notes: Musk, litchi and pomegranate
Base notes: Tobacco, sandalwood and Tonka bean.
I hope you enjoyed this post. Of your perfume, which is your favourite?
